THE POTTSGROVE SOCCER CLUB

 

Requests Applications for Scholarship Awards**

Eligibility

  • High School senior in good academic standing
  • Documented intention to continue education with plans to become matriculated at a 2-year or 4-year college
  • Previous participation in the Pottsgrove Soccer Club
  • A history of involvement in extracurricular activities and in the community is highly preferred
  • The scholarship award MUST BE used for verifiable school related expenses

 

Application Procedure

1. Write a 1 to 2 page essay explaining why you are eligible to receive the scholarship. Please include:
  • a description of your involvement with the Pottsgrove Soccer Club, including how long you played and your coaches names
  • a description of how your involvement with the Pottsgrove Soccer Club helped you in high school and will help you in college
  • a brief description of your educational and career plans.

2. Ask your former coaches or those familiar with your involvement in Pottsgrove Soccer for a short recommendation

3. Ask your school counselor to draft a short recommendation letter on school letterhead listing your class rank, grade point average, and describing your plans to pursue higher education

4. All applications must be complete and postmarked by April 30th 2008.

**Total number of Scholarship grants will be determined solely at the discretion of the PSA Board of directors and by the number of qualified entries.

**Individual grant amounts will be $500.00.
